Seeing Beyond the Benchmark: Using Student Thinking to Guide Intervention
Wednesday December 2, 2026 10:10am - 11:20am EST
Participants will engage in a highly interactive learning experience that blends discussion, reflection, movement, and hands on exploration. Throughout the session, participants will engage in instructional strategies such as Four Corners, partner and table discussions, AEIOU reflection, and analysis of student work and student thinking. They will share perspectives, discuss instructional implications, and reflect on connections to their own classrooms, schools, and districts. Participants will observe and analyze classroom lessons through the lens of authentic learning, productive struggle, and learning progressions, then explore resources that surface evidence of student thinking and support instructional decision making. Opportunities for whole group debriefs, collaborative conversations, and guided exploration ensure participants remain actively engaged with the presenter, their peers, and the content throughout the session
