Dr. William S. Turner is a transformational educational leader and Co-founder of Turner Educational Innovations with more than 17 years of administrative experience across public, private, charter, and alternative school settings. His work focuses on improving academic outcomes, strengthening behavior systems, and creating equitable learning environments for students of color, students with disabilities, English learners, students impacted by trauma, and students at risk of disengaging. Through instructional leadership, systems improvement, behavior intervention, staff development, restorative practices, trauma-informed discipline, instructional equity, and relationship-centered support, Dr. Turner has led data-driven intervention models that produced measurable academic and behavioral results, including reading and mathematics growth, suspension reductions, improved attendance, and increased achievement among underserved student groups. He has also supported special education systems through compliance, case management, teacher leadership, and student re-engagement. Dr. Turner has served as a teacher, principal, assistant principal, consultant, adjunct professor, grant writer, and mentor, and he currently volunteers with the Rappahannock Area Office on Youth as a coach and mentor for justice-involved youth. His work reflects a sustained commitment to building stronger systems, empowering educators, and helping historically underserved students re-engage, succeed, and thrive.
