About me
I am an elementary educator with over 16 years of diverse teaching experience, holding a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching first grade, serving as an ESOL teacher and lead, and currently, I am guiding fourth-grade students through all subjects. For the past five years, I have embraced a self-paced, blended learning, and mastery-based approach in my classroom, which has transformed how my students learn and thrive. This innovative method has not only reshaped my teaching style but has also proven to foster deeper understanding and engagement. Additionally, I serve as an expert mentor through the Modern Classroom Project, supporting and empowering fellow educators to implement these impactful strategies in their own classrooms. I am passionate about continuing to evolve as an educator and sharing the practices that have truly enhanced my students' educational experiences.
