About me
Sonya Gordon, Ed.S. is a Literacy Support Specialist with more than 30 years of experience in K–12 education. She has served as an English teacher, reading coach, instructional leader and literacy specialist, supporting teachers through instructional coaching, data-driven decision-making and professional learning. Sonya is passionate about building collaborative school cultures that improve teaching and learning for all students. She regularly designs and facilitates professional development focused on literacy, effective Tier 1 instruction, and Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). Her engaging, practical approach equips educators with research-based strategies and ready-to-use tools that can be implemented immediately to increase student achievement.
