About me
Stephanie Booz is the Media Learning Specialist and Librarian at Kecoughtan High School in Hampton Virginia. With expertise in history, information literacy, archival research, and resource curation, Booz supports students and teachers in navigating complex sources and building strong research habits. Her work emphasizes equitable access to high quality materials and the development of student-centered inquiry. And she has an amazing basement full of treasures.
Together, Dr. Gregory and Ms. Booz are committed to experiential learning and cross-disciplinary collaboration, partnering to bring curated primary sources into social studies classrooms in ways that deepen inquiry, strengthen engagement, and make rigorous learning sustainable for teachers. Their "Digging Deep" collaboration began with a simple conversation and grew into a transformative gallery walk built from authentic early 20th century artifacts discovered in a grandmother's basement--proof that powerful learning can emerge from unexpected places.
