Dr. Mark Hudson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Howard University. He began his career in education in 1994 as an elementary school teacher, later serving seven years in the classroom, three years as an assistant principal, and 14 years as a principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels in Hampton and Williamsburg, Virginia. He holds a Master of Science in Education and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from Old Dominion University. Since 2018, Dr. Hudson has served as Principal and Program Administrator for the Education Division of the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice, overseeing high school and post‑secondary programming for students at Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center.Dr. Hudson is also a personal growth coach and founder of Gap Resolution Coaching, where he helps professionals and educators align their values with their actions to achieve meaningful personal and professional growth. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in education and leadership, he provides practical mindset strategies and systems that support sustained development.Additionally, Dr. Hudson is a member of the Virginia Peninsula Chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., where he has led the Saturday Self‑Development Youth Mentoring Academy for the past five years.
