Lisa Sturges is a Senior Teaching & Learning Manager with nearly 30 years of experience in education. She spent 27 years as a classroom teacher and 2 years as a school administrator in Williamsburg-James City and Fairfax Public Schools before transitioning to a role focused on supporting educators through professional learning and instructional innovation. For the past 4 years, Lisa has partnered with districts across the country to strengthen mathematics teaching and learning through evidence-based instructional practices, meaningful technology integration, and student-centered learning experiences. Drawing on her deep understanding of curriculum, assessment, and how students learn mathematics, Lisa helps educators leverage student thinking to make informed instructional decisions that improve outcomes for all learners. Lisa is passionate about helping educators create learning experiences that promote deep understanding, productive struggle, and lasting mathematical success.
