Jennifer Orr has been an elementary school teacher for nearly 30 years, having taught kindergartners through fifth graders. She is National Board Certified and the author of Letters to a New Teacher: Real Advice and Practical Strategies for Getting Started in Elementary Teaching, Demystifying Discussion: How to Teach and Assess Academic Conversation Skills, K-5, and the co-author of We're Gonna Keep on Talking: How to Lead Meaningful Race Conversations in the Elementary Classroom.
