About me
Entering my 22nd year in education, I have had the privilege of serving students and schools in a variety of instructional and leadership roles. Throughout my teaching career, I have taught U.S. History, World Geography, World History, Civics and Economics, English, Health and Physical Education, and Driver Education, giving me a broad perspective on student learning and curriculum across multiple disciplines. As an assistant principal, I have served at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the unique needs of students, staff, and families at every stage of their educational journey. My leadership philosophy is centered on building strong relationships and fostering a positive school culture.Athletics have also played a significant role in my career. With 23 years of coaching experience, I have coached at the middle school, junior varsity, varsity, and collegiate levels, including serving as both an assistant and head college coach. These experiences have reinforced the importance of teamwork, accountability and perseverance. These are the qualities I strive to model in every aspect of my work. Before beginning my career in education, I worked as a bricklayer, an experience that instilled in me the values of hard work, dedication, and craftsmanship. Those lessons continue to shape my approach to leadership as I work alongside students, educators, and the community to build a strong foundation for success.
